Working with the marma points of the face and head increases circulation and the elasticity of the skin. This increased circulation reduces congestion in the face. Using steam from hot towels this treatment brings a glow to the skin and melts away facial tension. From a therapeutic point of view it is a very effective technique to reduce vata in the body and bring calm to the individual both emotionally and to the nervous system. Mukha Marma Abhyanga is most effective when taken as a series of six weekly treatments. To increase rejuvenation it is beneficial to support the treatments by following ama pachana advice.
